The Most Underrated Tier 1 Legend in Riftbound
Here is the part that should bother you a little: Sivir finished as runner-up at Sydney, one of the strongest results any Legend posted at that event, and she still does not have a single deck guide on most Riftbound content sites. Compare that to champions with a single Top 8 appearance who already have three or four guides written about them. Something does not add up.
The honest answer is that Sivir’s deck is not flashy. She does not swing the game in one big turn the way some Legends do. She builds an engine, quietly, turn after turn, and by the time her opponent notices what has been happening they are already behind. That is a harder story to tell in a highlight clip, which is probably why she gets skipped over. It does not make her any less Tier 1.

That is a consistent record across three separate events, not a single lucky run. If you have been holding off on building Sivir because you were not sure whether she was genuinely competitive, the results say yes.
How Sivir Plays
Sivir is an aggressive tempo Legend, but not in the way Master Yi is aggressive. Master Yi wants to hit fast and hit often. Sivir wants to hit fast while quietly building a resource advantage that snowballs the longer the game goes. Every time you recycle a rune, which most decks are already doing as part of normal play, Sivir gives you a free Gold gear token. That token is not just a bonus. It is fuel for whatever gear-based payoff your deck is built around.
The second half of her ability is what makes her feel alive at the table. Whenever an enemy unit dies, Sivir readies. That means a single combat exchange where you kill an enemy unit can let her attack again, or defend again, in the same turn. Games with Sivir tend to open fast, stay tempo-positive through the midgame because of the free gear generation, and close out through repeated readying rather than one big finishing blow.
A typical opening looks like this: you play cheap units and start recycling runes early, banking Gold gear tokens rather than spending them immediately. By the midgame you have enough tokens stored up to deploy a strong piece of gear in a single turn, right when your opponent thought they had stabilised. Where she struggles is against decks that can go over the top of her early aggression without trading units, denying her the ready trigger. Games against passive, unit-light control strategies are her hardest matchups.
Sivir’s Legend Ability
Sivir, Battle Mistress: “When you recycle a rune, you may exhaust me to play a Gold gear token exhausted. When one or more enemy units die, ready me.”
In plain English: every time you recycle a rune, and you already do this as a normal part of paying for cards, you get the option to exhaust Sivir and generate a Gold gear token. That token sits in your gear pool until you are ready to use it. Then, any time an enemy unit dies in combat, whether you killed it or your opponent’s own unit did, Sivir readies again and can be exhausted for another token or sent back into combat. She effectively pays for herself over and over across a single turn if the board state cooperates.
How to Get Started: Building the Sivir Deck
There is no pre-built Champion Deck for Sivir yet, so this is a singles build from the ground up. That might sound intimidating if you are used to just buying a box and playing, but it also means you get to build exactly the deck that suits how you want to play her, and you are not paying for cards you will never use.

If you prefer a deck with a larger library of published resources to lean on while you learn, Master Yi or Azir currently have more written about them. Sivir rewards players who are willing to do a bit of their own homework in exchange for playing a Legend that flies under the radar.
